New County Commissioner Required

In September, our current County Commissioner (Derek Barnes) announced that he planned to step down from the role at the end of the year after 6 successful years in charge of the County. Derek is now the longest serving current County Commissioner in the West Midlands. During Derek's tenure there has been considerable change to Scouting, primarily through a great number of changes from Headquarters. Nevertheless the County has continued to grow every year.

Shortly a search for Derek's replacement as County Commissioner will commence. This will be led by John Day (Deputy County Commissioner Adult Support) . So dust off your CV and get ready to apply! We currently expect all members of the County to be circulated with further information and the role requirements and nomination form to appear on the County website in late October.
